Carpenters Farm Campsite is only half a mile from the village of St. Helens which has one of the largest Village Greens in the south of England. Here you can enjoy a summer evening cricket match or a Saturday afternoon game of Island league football.
On August Bank Holiday Monday you can join with the Village Fair and Races followed by The Carnival Procession.
Carpenters Farm camping site and caravan park is perfectly positioned next to The St. Helens Marshes SSSI (Site of Special Scientific Interest), an RSPB reserve. The old railway line, now disused, is a beautiful walk that will take you from St. Helens to Brading, through the marshes. Red squirrels are frequently seen around the camp site.
St. Helens Duver is the nearest beach and can be reached on foot. You will also be within easy reach of Appley Beach in Ryde, Bembridge Silver Beach, Sandown Bay, Shanklin and Ventnor. See our Isle of Wight page for travel details.
With an abundance of local Pubs and Restaurants there is a wide choice of places to eat at prices to suit all budgets.
Bembridge harbour is only a mile away from the camping site and you will find fishing trips available from here. Horse riding, sailing academies and extreme sports are all in the locality.
St. Helens post office and general store is within walking distance, whist a Tesco Superstore can be found less than two miles away from the caravan park on the outskirts of Ryde
